I was just walking around my garden when I took this in the winter, I just loved how the frost fell on it's face, but still not sure about the composition or lighting.
ISO- 100, f5.6, 1/125 sec.
The lighting along with careful simultaneous control of the contrast can be raised, I used to see a lot of muddy low contrast pictures that need the light boost. If you have a soft glow feature it adds to raising the light but at the same time removes the harsh look since I believe you mentioned your liking the way the ice fell on his/her nose and want a more pensive transfixed look achieved. Careful not to drown out with soft glow moderation goes a long way, this can be said for all photo shop controls. I also give my photo work the incubation test. After I’ve worked my magic controls to fix my photo I put it away and about five or more minutes return to see what’s out of place..lighting, color saturation..etc. it works and is a sure bet to fixing photo flaws. I use Picasa photo and a free program called GIMP to work my magic. Hope this is help and Good Luck with your photo taking!
