Abstract flower project

I was at a sunflower farm, in the rain, so I had to get creative with my photos. It happened to coincide with the Abstract Flower project. I’m new to Light Stalking and look forward to feedback.

Wow, I think you have nailed a great shot here. The purple against the green background makes the flower pop. And it looks like you have caught the front edge of the flower in sharp focus which is not always easy but it has rendered the form as more of a shape than a flower. I really like this. Will be interested to see what the others say.

Love the abstract nature of the shot and agree with Rob that the image works great with the edges of the petals in sharp focus. Also the colour contrast in the frame works really well. Look forward to more of your works here.
