Hi, I’m new at Lightstalking and this is my first Photo-Upload at this Forum. I like the composition – what do you think?

Allows Edits? YesThe Human , the statue, the windows out the window, the floor all examples of repetition in the composition and the way the background splits the scene is great.

Allows Edits? YesHi Heinrich, I agree with Robert’s comments about the strong composition. I also love how you have chosen to convert this image to black and white with a classic film look. It helps to focus on the subject/s and the important details. A very good photo 🙂

Allows Edits? YesPeople at the gallery is always of great interest. Small details matter: the statue’s head almost looks turned in the direction of the person, as though questioning what she’s looking at.

Allows Edits? YesI like it a lot because at first I thought she was actually standing in front of a statue but then my eyes started swimming and it took me awhile to figure out what was actually happening. I actually really like how the images the backdrop. And yes, I think it works pretty well as a composition..
Also welcome to the board!

Allows Edits? Yes@heini very interesting image! Minor suggestion: crop off the top empty grey border (I assume it’s a beam). I find it distracting. (If you love editing with AI, you could see if AI would extend the windows and building appropriately.)

I really enjoyed studying your photograph thank you for posting it. The way the light and shadows play along the frame it draws me in search for more. However no matter where I look I find that my eye always seems to rest on the book on the bench, trivial as that may be compared to the rest of the story being told. I believe it has to do with the black binding and bright white pages they catch my eye focusing attention to the book.

Allows Edits? Yesinteresting feedback Michael , I never really noticed the notebook but now cant unsee it , I’m not sure that is a major distraction though as it lands pretty handily on the golden ratio and a triangular composition also following the rule of odds as part of the story of a woman studying art.
