Allows Edits? YesSo I was wondering, through our state library here in Sydney and happened to walk into a side room. It was a map room with various world maps showing the early map in Australia. There was a cabinet at the side with a few knickknacks in it, including this one. The main navigational tool of possibly one of the five greatest navigators of history. Just sitting there. No particular reverence or security or anything much. A few similar items from local explorers.

And the wildlife can be tricky too lol , You know these are the types of places i have never visited unless it was with school when all you cared about was that you were getting out of geography for a couple of hours .. I really need to go look at our museums considering they are about half hour away on my push bike.
These sextants , i remember seeing a documentary about them and it seems they all had kept and used a number of them on different voyages , this one below is one of the rare cook ones

Maybe why this looked less guarded in the state library , but still i get you completely mate.

Allows Edits? YesYeah, I’m sure he had quite a few of them. But I literally could’ve gently smashed the glass and taken this one on its way and I don’t think anybody would’ve been any of the wiser. I don’t know I love historical items and it always shocks me how a lot of them are treated. I remember once when I was in Luxembourg I went into this very non-descriptive building in a very non-descriptive small town of about 20 buildings in total., and they’re on the wall was an original Picasso. Just seems strange to me..
