Works for me, and the area in focus is in a nice spot within the framing, just wish I could blow it up bigger and get a better look.

I can provide a much bigger file, but I was asked to keep the file sizes down in deference to those with a slower connection.

I think the answer is yes – there is enough in focus to make it an effective photo. Would be nice if the DOF stretch behind the yellow part though.

After I shot this and got a good look at it on the computer, I wished I had done a focus stack to get a little more of the pink flowers in focus.

I like your version, Anne. The pink flowers become the background with little or no green background showing as Valery mentioned. It just looks better to me as a close-up of the three yellow blossoms. The strip of green at the top of my second try adds nothing I can identify.
