Allows Edits? YesNeat, colorful and nicely framed. ย Do you have a blind set up
-
June 8, 2026 at 6:23 pm #550356
Thanks Steve, no, I don’t have a blind… I have the camera in the conservatory, and shoot thought he window, or outside while I sit and drink tea. The birds are used to us, and bar sudden movements, just carry on as usual while we’re out there. The blackbirds run about our feet!

Allows Edits? YesA lot of European bird species look so different from their American counter parts , but these critters are very close in appearance, in this area they are considered a pest, pecking holes in houses and garages. And there is no shortage of them.
Having said that I’m going to echo Steve’s Comment.-

Thanks for the comments Robert. We feel very lucky to have them in the garden, things can be so different …. special to us, a pest to you. ๐

Allows Edits? YesDoes he eat your froglets Diane ( @tersha ), the ones we raised on the ranch would eat the toadlets when they would start moving.
-
June 9, 2026 at 6:17 pm #550410
Hi Robert, probably he eats some, but he mostly hangs out around the feeders, whereas the froglets are released in an overgrown area with a small pond, with the hope they have shelter. Although obviously they must travel!
