I know that feeling Larry , i have just started trying to take street photos in colour and i know all the years i spent only shooting black and white it is helping with that , mono will always be my home though.
Thanks so much for looking in , i shot that socks shot while i was setting up a scene for some creative colour portraits later this evening but i will sneak a couple of mono ones in as well 🙂

I can’t look at his work without feeling a need to make my own images , There is a a good few photographers that do this to me haha , I would have give my right arm to have been an assistant to him and even a my left leg

When I had my Fuji X-t3, I designed a bw recipe that I called, “BWLegend.” I tweaked it several times to have Daido’s dark, gritty grain like dramatic black and white look. Obviously can’t be done fully with a recipe, but post processing to add more drama and crush the shadows and almost blow out the whites, got images closer to his genre of photography.

Yeah mate ,i love all his work , The Provoke Era is my thing , he helped tear down conventional rules of composition and lighting to see what photography could communicate on a purely visceral level.
I go almost into a trance when i view his images and bursting at the seams to try make some of my own after i looked 🙂
