Allows Edits? YesNeeds to be looked at bigger because you’ve caught the perfect moment of the fisherman’s rig hitting the water. I think with a bit of dodging and burning and some work on that white balance you’d have a very very solid shot and in fact I might even crop in on that action.

Allows Edits? YesThe crop is better if your featuring the human, but you loose the scale of the river, Not sure what I would do here, that back ground is so bright in comparison to the foreground, I’ll give it some thought.
Now the title may be a bit off , unless he has a brick tied to the end of that Fly Rod don’t think that is a cast , but instead has caught a fish and attempting to land it and its splashing vigorously, so maybe The Fight, or Reel It In, maybe The Landing. -

Allows Edits? YesI thought I clicked the shutter as he was moving his arm forward. I was surprised to see the splash when I got the image on screen and surprised that the splash was so close to him. Now that I study this more, his arm isn’t in the forward plane and it looks like he is pulling back on the rod. So, maybe the catch?
I did intentionally frame the wider shot as I generally like to see people in their surroundings in circumstances like this. As happens, there are multiple possibilities within the frame and preference is individual.

Allows Edits? YesGave it some thought and did a quick 3 part adj. , 1st adjusted the white balance to brighten up the blues a bit, 2nd a selection by luminance range for the shadows, tweaked clarity a tad, dropped saturation a tad, adjusted lighting a tad, 3rd a radial selection around the action Man / Splash at max feathering and raised whites and highlights a tad, makes the fisherman the highest contrast point in the photo to draw the eye without making the lighting unnatural. Also making the fallen tree stand out as a leading line to him. As you said Lots of different ways you could go , but like you. I like showing the surroundings.

Allows Edits? YesThanks @robertapple for making me rethink the image. I’m not sure I followed all of the advice you gave but I understood the direction you were leading me in.

Allows Edits? YesI sometimes forget adjusting WB is a great way to brighten deep blue shadows.

Allows Edits? YesWonderful shot Steve, you caught a great moment casting. I looked at all the other photos in your set, they’re all really, really good.

Allows Edits? YesThanks, @tersha
I originally set up my Smugmug account to act as a portfolio for only my best pictures. It has morphed into a compendium of nearly everything I find worthy of a second glance, working on in Lightroom. Much of it serves as an aid to memory for family. Now that I know how it was going to evolve, I would have signed on for a less expensive venue. I do like the site. It helps greatly to organize my images into more or less coherent groupings.

Allows Edits? YesThanks for all this feedback, @robertapple @tersha @dahliaambrose @admin-2
I find that I have developed a tendency to rush my editing when I return home from a session in the field. I want to see what I got and don’t spend enough time considering what all I should do with the image. Your feedback, even outside Shark Tank is valuable for the specific image and more generally as well.
