Thank you Elin 🙂 , Yes the weather at least the worst of it has moved into scotland now we just have the tail ends left it has left many ppl without power , i noticed you guys are about to get another dump of snow at least looking at our forecast it shows it .. A bit to go yet 🙂

Your series here is just fantastic – keep coming back to them. Thanks for sharing the info about Moriyama. One thing – do you use a plugin to create those scratches or do you PS them in manually ?

after the first main edit and to get those particular scratches on the last 2 photos i just used analog fx pro 2 , i repeated it twice i think but on the second go i changed the values from light to dark ( a slider ) .. Was a while ago 🙂 hard to remember but mostly Analog fx Elin 🙂 Wet plate
that last picture above before Analog fx .. the guts of the image is in camera shooting for the edit really

Just to add the top image was made rough looking by using some clear perspex i scratched and wallpaper pasted old magazines pages to it , i then let it dry then tore them away in places and one colour changing bulb set to red 🙂

Thank you very much Beth , always appreciate your thoughts on all photos not just my own , cheers , as for the gun it is only a kids toy i picked it up just as a prop from the £1.00 $1.00 store 🙂 .. Never know if its ok to use it for instance if i post that photo to IG or some place like it it prob get pulled for breaking community guidelines on violence or something along those lines .. The AI would prob think it was real

thanks for the info. i couldn’t identify it, being as out of focus as it was. i’ve had issues with 1/12 scale guns and action figures on ig. ridiculous.

Thank you Robert , it really means a lot to know you checked him out .. I love his more graphic work and what some might call the darker aesthetic he has such a large collection of photographs some much lighter in mood , I like the bold stuff and he has much of it 🙂

YesYou’ve definitely been a rising star on this forum, I try to look at everything that gets posted and if it calls to me in particular I will comment on it , or if it expands my knowledge I will go exploring, that seems to happen monthly on the forum , a vintage lens I haven’t heard of, a photographer I’m not familiar with, a flower or bug I’ve never seen , a place I’ve never heard of. I don’t comment on everything posted but
I do try to look at it and understand what the member was going for, honestly you tend to catch my attention quite often, a lot of folks on here do , there is an amazing collection of talent that is also humble and with open minds, and interestingly enough the ones that aren’t stomp around a bit saying “Look at Me” and then move on, hopefully before they become too annoying.-
It is a brilliant group of people , tons of knowledge between you all , I am the same i like to see what others are shooting , posting … I like all types of photography but i don’t comment on everything i see mainly because i don’t really know how to talk in depth about some styles of image with any kind of authority , There is still billions to learn for me 🙂 ..Enjoyed reading your thoughts mate , thanks for sharing them Robert.

Couple of photos blended together to create something new , obliviously experimental as is most things in this thread but just sharing it 🙂 full size in a new Tab .. you get a better look at the texture which is what i was really after with this.
