Eclipse

Hi everyone :)!

I’m sorry I haven’t been around much lately on these forums, but despite my absence, you’re always in my heart.

Yesterday, the total solar eclipse took place, which, as usually happens with these events, wasn’t visible from everywhere in the world. I thought you might be interested in some of my shots, acting as your correspondent in central Spain.

Wonderful images, Astaroth.   I traveled to Maine, U.S. to see the April 2024 total eclipse, and I’ll never forget it.

Thanks @annehornsby ! This was the first eclipse in Spain in a century :)! Next summer we’ll have another in the south, but this first one was visible from the city where I live 🙂

Awesome eclipse photos. I managed to get photos a couple years ago of a total solar eclipse, it is a great experience!!

Beautiful photos you even caught a couple of coronal ejections to the north and on the west limb. Really loved the purple on the total eclipse photo just before bailey’s beads came back out.

Thanks so much, @michaelnowak :)! The original images were almost black and white. I tried to enhance the colours using a lot of imagination (I’m also colourblind). Yes, I was astonished when I saw the coronal ejections and sunspots for the first time!

Thank you so much, Rob :)! I’ve missed you guys too! The truth is that the day-to-day pace of life sometimes makes it difficult for me to devote as much time as I’d like to the things I enjoy. I’ve had periods when I’ve neglected photography a bit, although I’ve been feeling motivated again for a while now, especially after upgrading my gear. I’ve switched to a mirrorless camera (Z 8) and have a pair of Z-series lenses to experiment with, including the 180–600mm, which is what I used to take this photo :). I hope we’ll see more of each other around these forums :)!

Yeah, life really does take over sometimes. And I think we all go through that downtime with photography. I get it quite a bit, but some people manage it better than I do. You’re one of the forum OGs, so it would be great to see you around more.
