Allows Edits? YesI like “unrational”. Different from irrational. And I like this rich color.

Allows Edits? YesThanks Federico, @federicoalegria I deemed it unrational because so often I see totally oversaturated images winning contests, in galleries for sale , posted on various sites, and my first thought is that is so fake and doesn’t represent the actual scene. I visited a local gallery recently to find all the landscapes shot in monochrome , all photos of Monument Valley, an area rich in vibrant red rock in a desert landscape all done in monochrome to facilitate the natural human response of desolation and a black and white scene also facilitates a fear response as in darkness color doesn’t exist, is not a natural condition and alien. if you fully realize that response and train yourself not to react to it the scenes are empty and void of true character represented by color.
Getting back to my unrational response I opened this photo in PS Camera raw, slid the vibrancy, saturation, and contrast all the way to the right, as a response to color empty scenes and posted it.

Allows Edits? YesI have always torn about having strong opinions on styles. Let’s be honest even black-and-white can certainly be a very stylised representation of what the real scene look like. I know mine certainly are. I suppose the main difference for black-and-white is that it never really goes out of fashion. I know what you mean about the current state of oversaturated images but to me that’s just the current trend and it will change probably by this time next year just something different. Remember the Instagram trend? The HDR trend? The undersaturated trend? The Washed Out trend? It’s all just part of the same merry-go-round.

Allows Edits? YesI hear you Rob, but when things are over done they become redundant and boring, eat your favorite food every day for three meals a day and soon you will tire of it, or a favorite song non stop on repeat, and it may be years before you want to hear it again. But the raw reality of Gods creation as he made it , without the influence of man never becomes boring, it grounds us to our very soul.
