They were changing to their fall colors, but this one tree was stuck in the middle.

The contrast is awesome Robert , just wish that top leaf was not touching the edge , nice shape of the one just below really pops.

Couple of inches up or down would have saved that happening , it is always easy to suggest stuff after the fact i know , i do this type of thing myself alot its only when i get home i notice lol.

I was pretty happy to get this, I was hanging off a rock outcropping, from a place I really had no business climbing up to, and the Wind would not give it a break, I managed to get this one shot, in between breezes, and climbed back down without injury to myself or Camera, well mostly to myself, my back had something to say about the whole thing that evening.

My fingers are my worst issue any cold at all and they get sore and less dexterity , Glad you got your frame and no lasting problems , thanks for showing regardless 🙂

Here is a perspective shot. These trees were around 50 plus feet tall and the boulders the size of delivery vans and as you can see, no leaves on the bottom. I Don’t think the tree in question is in the photo, but in the same area near the top of this mountain.

Aspens are as they are most often amongst the pines
, bright oranges and dark greens.

it’s funny what you get used to. at the Change of season here we have trees that go bright purple with flowers. Makes for some stunning street shots. But I’ve literally never ever photographed them.
