Allows Edits? YesA return to the Ghost Town of Gebo, I’ve always wanted to be here at sunrise and see the golden hour. It was very still that morning with a few clouds. Off to the south I saw several lights I’d never noticed before.

As the Golden Hour Started a Building appeared , we would later investigate what was there.

It turned out to be an old methane gas mine that had been abandoned because of high levels of H2S Hydrogen Suflide Gas which is slightly poisonous to humans. As all the signs were pretty clear about do not enter without breathing equipment or death could occur, we came in on the Back side, where there were no signs and entered, we didn’t hang around long enough for a photo and made a hasty exit down a gravel road.Back to the Ghost Town, we didn’t see any ghosts in twilight hours, we patiently waited for the Sunrise and listened to the coyotes howl.
The Golden Hour in the badlands was Something Else.

I moved down the hill a bit and managed to integrate my tripods shadow into the scene

Then the Sun slipped behind a cloud and things got kind of dull.
Which kind of pizzed me off.

But when I turned around to glare at the sky I got a nice surprise.

And we were off to play in the Hydrogen Sulfide, which by the way smells like extremely rotten goose eggs. -
