I’ve always been quite interested in photography. Or rather telling a story with image. I did my undergrad in media and made some short videos..but I found it was hard to be neat and tidy enough through that medium and that photography suits me better. The first tine I remember a photgraph touching me was when I was 16 looking at a college prospectus. In it was the work of one student of a homeless man with his jumper over his head to keep warm, all you could see were his feet. It was night time in dublin and it just caught me in the most natural way. I was touched by this photo. This man was so insignificant to society he didn’t even need to show his head. It was slightly absurd and profound at the same time.
Other photos to note would be the aids photo of John Kirkby and John Lennon and yoko Ono in bed.
