  Started taking snaps of family and friends around 60 years ago. Took a strong liking to it. Always wanted to be an artist but my colour sense is lacking and I can only draw a straight line. Later in life, after seeing big prints in galleries, I realised Photography could be the answer. Dabbled, joined a club, built a simple darkroom and enjoyed practising. More or less gave it up for a while for family reasons, but came back to it just as digital became popular. Four years ago bought my first mirrorless (Sony a6000) and properly discovered post-processing (Serif Photoplus). Been learnng ever since. Now armed with an a6500, an a7ii, and using Affinity photo and Luminar. Love the flexibility of digital processing but have to try to think of it as gaining new skills rather than loss of the old (Don’t miss the darkroom, though!).

  Welcome aboard Graham. Our paths have been somewhat similar. The digital darkroom certainly is less expensive and I too don’t miss it. It certainly was a great experience though. I look forward to seeing some of your images.
