Anyone got suggestions about modifying the shots in PS/cross process/plugins etc. I’ve had a fiddle with nik but yet to crack it.
here is an original portrait I have been using to trial

and here is what I have been able to do so far. Not got quite that old feel yet

I think part of the problem is that your model isn’t wearing any primary colours – most of the colours in the shot are neutral so getting that polaroid colouring is gonna be tough.

I used a polaroid plugin for lightroom and then played around with the colour sliders and the black and brightness slider. Still a bit of work to do, but you might find it useful.

I’ll try that plugin and check out the site. I tried my own polaroid plugin and then found a PS CS5 drop down for the saturation tool which said old style.. then I duplicated the layer and changed the blend mode to soft light…Thanks for trying. Anyone else?

I have used photo filters before in CS4. Play around with a warming filter and a cooling filter, adjusting the density until you get what you want.
