Last Jan 2020 I upgraded from my iphone camera to a Panasonic FZ1000 bridge camera because I wanted to upgrade the quality of my photos especially wildlife, landscape, plants, flowers and photos of my maple tree. I am working on learning my camera and all aspects of photography.
Because of Covid most of my photo taken has taken place in my yard.
My biggest challenge is composition. I am joining so I can get constructive criticism of my photos to aid in my development.
I use Luminar Ai for Post.

Allows Edits? Nowelcome to ls. you’ve got a great image to start with. sharp, rich colors. have you considered simplifying the composition? maybe crop it vertically so just the flower near the center is in the frame. that would keep the other flowers from competing with the on in focus.

Thanks Beth for your suggestion.
I took this photo using Spot metering on the middle flowers to see the effect. I got the effect I was looking for with the 2 outer flowers slightly out of focus. I guess because they are on the same plane I didn’t a lot of out of focus do you think. I was hoping with them out of focus the middle one would stand out more. I also brightened the flowers on the middle one to help them stand out more.
I do have a single photo which I am sending you.

Yup – stuff on the same focal plane will be in focus. I do quite like it though cos you have used exposure to guide the eye.
