        This hornet feeds on fallen apples. I’ve only seen one, I wouldn’t really want to see too many. The was taken with a EF-S35mm f/2.8 MACRO IS STM lens, which has a built in light on the front. It’s turned out to be very good for macro with the extra light.

              Fab image, colours are amazing, I wouldn’t want to get too close to him though!  I recently purchased a Canon M6II mirrorless for travel as it was so small and light and I got a 28mm Macro with a built in light – it’s fantastic when you need that extra boost of light in shady areas – why didn’t they think of that sooner?

                Brilliant photo Diane. Amazing to have a closer look at this insect – so much details on its head. I also love the bright and vibrant colours 🙂
