Some art i have been working on this past month , still need to do a few bits on each to finish them , my canvas is still tacky in places were the paint is thicker and i cannot seal it until those spots dry completely but the top coat will bring all those colours back to life as currently everything looks a bit flat for me.
I lay the other 2 pieces on it just to make this photo but none are connected as in each seperated art pieces for dif things

Very cool, Patrick! – a word an old guy like me seldom uses, but seems just right for this. Though, undoubtably there will be different possibilities for each, I tend to prefer the colour version overall.

Thank you so much Jim , I agree i am all in for the color myself with art/graphics most times they are very much built on the use of colors , the mono versions i post are more just as a way for me to use on my ig as that is the main range i work with when it comes to photography , I find color photography very hard mostly when it comes to editing the colours in a way that does not say straight out of camera too many variations for me.
Good to see you about all the same and i do hope life is good mate.

Just for ref – The original – it still needs a few bits to finish it like the how to , the text needs to be fixed to the main piece yet

Allows Edits? YesI wouldn’t be too hard on yourself with colour. If you look back at some of the old films like Velvia or Provia, they did some pretty funky things.

Allows Edits? YesLove the contrasting sharpness of the layers in your work, mate. It probably seems obvious to you but is someone who has not done a lot of painting or artistic printing some of your attention to detail comes across that’s pretty impressive.

Thank you very much that is very kind of you Rob 🙂 , I give credit to the ( i was twice their ages at the time ) teenagers that got me into and learned me how to make old school graphic forum signatures using photoshop in 2004 , i think a few of them are making a living from the work they make now.

Ireland’s government has approved the permanent implementation of its Basic Income for the Arts scheme, which will see Irish artists receiving €325 a week. The policy, which was first introduced in 2022 as a pilot programme, meant that 2,000 artists – including musicians and creatives

Allows Edits? YesGiven an AI I think we’re all going to need that £325 a week very soon. LOL. That being out, I think it’s a good thing for society to have artists who can afford to actually eat. And they found that people produce more art when they don’t have to worry about how to pay rent – wow what a revolutionary discovery and one typical of so many governments LOL.
I do always love seeing photos of your art come across the feed, mate.

Thanks mate , They need to find it in the budget to cover more than 2000 odd easy to say not as easy to do maybe but overall a very forward thinking approach that more governments should consider.
The thing about AI i think in some industries it will revolutionise things and in many others like we see with generated images i don’t think so , sure they will get good very spectacular infect but everything i have seen myself so far, the human touch /flaws ecct we get in real human crafted works will remain intact.
Virtual reality was once said was going to take over , it got as far as facebook metaverse Lol.

Allows Edits? YesYeah, that is all true enough. My general thoughts are that people who do bespoke pieces of art will probably be fine and people who do physical interaction like speech, pathology or things like surf schools will also be fine. That is until they perfect robots. lol

Imagine having one that could run to the shops for you when you need a few bits and pieces 🙂 .. but then again that would replace the kids haha

Allows Edits? YesDon’t laugh, mate. You have basically just explained the vending machine industry of Japan. Every train station there has at least a dozen nearby and some have way more than that. The only real corner store is the 711, at least in the places I went. Though I’m not sure they really have a culture of kids doing those type of jobs.

Your observation on japan and the 7 eleven i notice that when i watch those walking videos like this one vending machine on the corner
I watch these and get ideas for things to shoot , observing the details without the people fixes them in the memory clearer 🙂

Allows Edits? YesThere is an old saying in IT.
“shit in, shit out.”
AI is trained on data and is trained to be middleground. Other than specific edits from humans, I’m not sure how that’s going to change.
I’m not really sure who to believe on the possibilities of AI running its own coding to correct such things.
