Allows Edits? YesI’m constantly attracted to bits and pieces of infrastructure, like this manhole cover.
I think of these as minimalist images. Is this minimalist? Maybe this is too literal? Perhaps I need a more creative approach, e.g., Patrick’s photo of the week with the fan and much more than the fan.

Allows Edits? YesI doubt this is minimalism since the frame is pretty much filled. It is a composition using repeated patterns. Boring? Not to you so it isn’t. Others need to search elsewhere. S0me may not find anything of interest
A closer crop that would remove the rounded edge and that bit used to raise the cover might add a bit of mystery.

Allows Edits? YesI would be playing with these types of images in black-and-white. I think it could be very effective and I certainly think you’re knocking on the door of minimalism.

Allows Edits? YesThanks Steve and Rob. Now I’m thinking these patterns are better as part of a composite, not standalone.

As an experiment, if a figure of a person with a map, was to be worked into the image…

Allows Edits? YesI like that idea, RG. I’m just getting back into my photography and I want to play with composites.

Allows Edits? YesHi Anne, nothing is boring when it comes to photography in my opinion, because we photograph what we find interesting, what speaks to us or for a purpose. And this photo that you have posted here is a great one showing repetitive patterns. I agree with Steve’s comments about a tighter crop. The black and white version looks good Anne 🙂

Allows Edits? YesThanks, Dahlia. I do struggle with the oddness of my infrastructure shots. I see now that B&W is better, and a tighter crop.

A rough edit Anne hope that’s ok , just playing with sharpening and contrast ? , I agree with Dahlia’s words on if something is boring , no right no wrong we all have our own way of doing and seeing none is better than the other.

You could lean into the colours which are already present , which i prafare on this frame

Allows Edits? YesThanks, Patrick! I think of others’ edits as brainstorming with me. I like the B&W best. But I think you’re on to something – if I use color, super saturated is effective.
