I’m really loving all the macro on this entire site and this thread is another great example of this genre of photography.

Thank you @retiredgrunt.  Macro is something I overlooked until recently.  I was always interested in the big picture versus capturing the smaller elements you can capture with macro.  I must admit, I am hooked on this genre.

Hi Rob, the blue background is the exterior wall of my neighbor’s home.

This is an old one from the backyard from a while back. I really enjoy playing around with macro, but I have to admit I do find the the focusing quite challenging and I really hate fiddling around with stacking software so I don’t bother, I just tri toed get the shot out of camera.

I see macros as vast landscapes as well, especially when you consider things on a cellular level.

Probably a good way of lookking at it from a composition point of view. On the other hand, getting focus is way more difficult in macro lol.
