Lady at Diwali

I took this photo at Diwali in Auckland a while ago and just noticed that I had not worked on it at all. Here is my effort now.

It’s a well-captured photo in a documentary style. The composition and exposure are pretty good. There isn’t much to improve here.

Perfectly excited!  Shark Tank… looks like a vacation snap, I don’t find it interesting enough for more that a quick glance.

I think that you are probably right, Lenny.  I came across it and after initial editing, liked, still like, the enjoyment that she portrays.  Decided then to take my editing further.

Hi Jim.  We don’t get many people photos here in the ST so I kept coming back and looking at this shot.  I think the color in your shot is a bit of a distraction from the subject.  I think this makes the shot a bit more about the subject and less about her clothes.  I love her un-masked smiling face.  What think you?

I prefer the shot in color. The colors are warm and match her smile.

I would agree with Rose Marie , The noise introduced in the black and white edit only reduces the quality and i don’t think it works here at least for my taste 🙂
