Allows Edits? YesVery cool John! I’ve tried using magnifying glass in front of a flower for effect, never thought of holding a lens up. 🙂

Thank you Diane. I have a glass sphere that I was going to try but I could not find it! Lol. I was going to make the focused center a shot with the sphere. Maybe I will try when I find it.

Ok Rob I can do that. I had the camera set on a tripod and took a pic of the desert with the tree in the center. Then I took the pic with the filter in my fingers. Brought both into PS and copied the filter pic over top of the background pic. Created a mask and then used a brush to bring out the layer underneath. The blurred portion and the infocus portion line up because I never moved the camera.

It is easy once you know how. I saw this done on a long exposure night scene and it was stunning. I knew how to do it immediately but I kept forgetting to do it when I was out. I have to write notes to myself which is insulting for someone who has had excellent recall. Oh well, quit complaining John!!!!

I think it could be used to make many photos fun. I want to try it on different subjects other than the joshua.
