I enjoy watching and photographing sea birds and have been thinking of starting a thread on them, well Patrick’s Plover has inspired me.

So share your shots of sea birds that may only come around once a year or sea birds in general.

        Shot Beaky!

Just a request – can you try to shrink your file sizes in terms of Mb’s before posting them, specially on throwdown threads? Your images in general are 5Mb+ in size and that slows down the load of the pages / your images in them (even on my fibre line with 100mbps line speed) by quite a lot.

In general when I export images for forum use I limit them to 1600px in width and 300Kb in memory size. You won’t see any difference in quality when you go higher on either of those.

Top notch Beaky! Not only the image but the size too – the page loaded immediately!

I love how the stilt’s pitch black colours splits him away from the other birds. It means that you did not have to crop them out of the frame and you were able to keep context. Well done!
