  I think it could work, but it would be just as minimalist filling more of the frame. I’d also play with the BW version.

  Rob, I looked a BW but it seemed kinda sinful with those colors. It might be more minimalist in BW.

    Hi Duncan, this was in Spain. Not sure if they are into tequila or if I would have been willing to pay their prices! I know that a couple shots of Jack Daniels was about the price of a bottle here.

  Yes. It’s minimalist. I would probably have moved the jug (or whatever it is) more off-center. You may have more sky than is necessary to make it an example of minimalism. Cropping to 10 x 8 might also eliminate the slight vignette at the corners. I might also try to life the shadows on the jug itself. For me–and all I’m saying here is about my taste and what I see on my monitor–the angle from the ground shooting up reduces the interest. You almost certainly didn’t have the opportunity to climb some stairs somewhere to get a straight on view, but I think I would have liked it more from that POV.
  
  I would likely have taken note of the scene if I had been walking down the street with you. I’m not sure the resulting image would have engaged me sufficiently to do much more than include it in my “things I saw” gallery as a reminder to keep my eyes open and my head on a swivel, otherwise I wind up sleepwalking through life. And that’s enough for me.
