@patography  Guessing Van Gogh? The distressed FX app also has those birds similar to the ones we see in Van Gogh’s paintings.

I also looked up and Paul Gauguin’s paintings look like a totally different genre. Very interesting though 🙂

The place was riddled with various types , late winter variety , i must admit i was tempted to go back tomorrow with a macro lens i am sure if i looked a bit harder and closer i would spot a few compositions , will see what the weather is like before i decide , the problem with these things if you don’t get them at the time and you go back a day later they have vanished.

Thank you Dahlia ,  the Scarlet Elf Cup (Sarcoscypha austriaca) is deeply tied to woodland spirits, believed to be used by elves to drink morning dew or by fairies as tiny bathtubs. Often called “fairy baths” 🙂

The decisive moment.

Stencils and spray paint feel like a natural progression for me. Doing B&W street photography, I mostly focused on the shape and form of my subjects more than the details.

In a lot of ways, cutting stencils is the exact same thing—just building a scene out of basic shapes. Testing out the scale here as these are separate stencils.

The river

Colin Glen Forest Park in Belfast is a prime, accessible location for spotting Jurassic-era marine fossils, including ammonites, sea urchins, and prehistoric reptile remains like plesiosaurs within its rocky river outcrops. The site features unique geological, 225-million-year-old rock, with dedicated trails and, sometimes, fossil-digging activities.

Safety/Rules: The Belfast Hills Partnership advises against damaging or removing rocks from these locations to preserve them for the future.

Thank you RG , i did indeed use the built in long exposure option on the phone , it has one for panning which works fairly well when i have tried it , handy little thing 🙂
