Robert, this is Just east of Watkins, Colorado, right off the approach end of Runway 35 at Front Range Airport (KFTG), where I often work. That’s how I spotted the place. It is an abandoned farm, and someone left the porch light on, which is quite annoying when using NVGs… lol

There sure seems to be a plethora of these old abandoned structures over there. What a journey it would be to travel the breadth of your country photographing as many as you can find to compile a book (I can hear Tom packing as we speak 🙂 ).

Thanks Graham! As soon as I am able, I’m going to get some off-road transportation so I can get to more of the ‘ghost towns’ and abandoned mines in the mountains. I’ve found many on google earth and it’s frustrating not have the transportation required to visit. I do think there is material for a book, perhaps on the old mines… Got me thinking now. lol Tom can come, as well!
Actually Graham, I wish I could visit Australia! I’d love to see the Outback and visit all the Aboriginal cultural sites. I saw a special called First Footprints where they visited a site that had been continually inhabited for 40,000 years. That really captured my imagination, and is on my bucket list, for sure!

Allows Edits? YesI truly believe that Australia is a photographer’s paradise. Just wish I could afford to retire and go exploring.
