Allows Edits? Yes@m-c-beckworth I was gobsmacked many years ago when I heard an interview with a fairly well-known photographer who said “Montana doesn’t photograph well”
I mean, it’s our job as photographers to kind of make skill a large part of the equation.
And I think you’ve done that with this shot.

Allows Edits? Yes“Montana doesn’t photograph well” ??, @admin-2 That man was an Idiot, Glacier national park, the bear tooth hiway, Yellowstone National Park, The Muscle Shell, Rocky Mountains, and just About anywhere off the beaten path.

Allows Edits? YesNot to Hijack Mike’s thread ( @admin-2 ), but watched the first half of the video and got my clue, He’s from California living in a sea of people and a totally different landscape and culture, Not surprised he’s better at people then Montana Landscape, He photographs his living environment, Though it’s strange to hear the way he talks about my people, both Cowboys and Indians, as Art Subjects. But here is a man that blames the quality of his photo’s on the subject, not his own skills behind a camera.

Allows Edits? YesYeah I err towards that conclusion too @robertapple – I mean he is clearly very good, but that opinion of his really sticks out for me.

I am of the opinion that as a photographer, my images are an emotional investment. In landscape to truly know the place as someone who lives there is an advantage. Others may visit, but to be a long-term resident gives you a knowledge and perspective of a place that can’t be captured in a few vacation trips. I never go to Glacier or Yellowstone. Not because they aren’t beautiful, but because they have been well documented by other photographers. I try to show the Montana that few know or have seen.

Allows Edits? YesI Totally agree Mike ( @m-c-beckworth ) I have often made the same comments about ” My Wyoming ” , and as a side note a photographer I know, upon a visit to Yellowstone, found it so crowded with people pushing in front of him did a photographic essay called “The Moles of Yellowstone” as he started documenting the various growths on the skin of tourists that had pushed in front of him.
