I just posted a new series of HDR’s on our site from a stroll I took yesterday in the old part of Victoria. The old houses are fantastic in terms of architecture and the autumn mood really comes through in the series of 18 photos.

Great series and fantastic colours! I bet the stroll was great too 🙂 Your gallery has given me a few ideas to experiment with, especially your black and white image of the historic house. It’s never occurred to me to use HDR for monochrome images before, it makes perfect sense now I think about it and would certainly give me more control on exposure and contrast, I might have to bring back the Victorian “neck brace” to stop ghosting on portraits!! but its worth a try 🙂 May I ask how many images you use and the f-stop value’s between exposures when shooting for HDR? Thanks for the inspiration and images.

Thank you SO much for your kind words and opinions, I sincerely appreciate that! I bracketed 3 shots for all the photos posted, and I believe I was using about a f25 to achieve maximum field of depth to try and capture all the details. I don’t always do that, but that was the template I used yesterday on my stroll! 🙂 If I recall the shutter speed was about 1/30th or so on most of those. I could certainly dig up the originals (I keep everything) I used for those compositions and get the fine details if you would like further information?

Thanks so much for looking and posting! I look forward to seeing your work as well.
