Grungy Hands
Back to the drawing board or not ? Just been playing with trying to make the hands look aged and rough looking do they look aged and convincing or scrap and start again , This is more about editing than camera settings just to be clear ,Thanks very much for any input 🙂

Allows Edits? YesYou definitely succeeded in making the hands look rough!
The edges of the shadow look kinda too sharp but I guess that’s simply because of the lighting.

Hi Jasenka , You are on the money the light was the problem with the shadow and i did sharpen a little more than i thought , the light was just my living room overhead light and my position was all wrong with the light almost above my hands , the rough grubby texture was fun to play with 🙂
This was what i started with .. looking back at the info my ISO was set on 3200 lol i forgot to set it back from when i shooting a night sky image

Thank you so much for your feedback as always

I like the very idea of showing the aged hands and b&w suits the story perfectly!
agree with Jasenka about the shadow- the image is a bit over processed..

Terrific editing. Like night and day. Added a lot more interest, impact to the original.

Hi Dave thanks for you feedback mate , i often see Bnw Images on insta edited like this and nearly always they look so gritty they are hard to look past and they always catch my eye i guess this was what influenced this edit some refining and i think the style could work for some of my shots 🙂 ..Thanks ever so much for looking in and sharing your thoughts

Allows Edits? YesPatrick, I think the aged hands in BW are fantastic. I’m thinking for background (or is it foreground) beneath the hands has too much pattern and is distracting from the hands and harmonica. Can you experiment with pushing it more into the background?

Thanks so much for your nice feedback Anne , since i posted this i have edited it a little more and posted it on my Instagram , it was more an experimental image practicing / toying with textures i have a way to go yet to get things how i want 🙂
