  This week POTW goes to Tersha and her ravishing still life. The image is a great example of contrast in photography because we have both contrasting colors and light & dark.
  
  On top of that, this still life has a wonderful painterly quality – it looks like a thick oil painting.

  Great shot Diane for all the reasons mentioned but also for the composition which is perfect. The balance between the light and the weight in the image is spot on. Congrats on POTW.

  Stunning image, Diane! Really like the contrast of the subtle colours of the pumpkin contrasting with the rich colours to the right. Love the background mix of muted colours combined with an excellent texture. The three (buds?) on top of the pumpkin are great. As others have said the lighting is very well done. Even Valery would applaud, I feel sure!

    Thanks Jim! The tree (buds) are not buds, they are Euonymus berries, (Spindle berries ).
    It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Valery, his Still life photos were memorable.
