This week’s photo shout-out corresponds to Jorge Carrillo (@jorgebk), a member who joined our friendly community last month. Clean perspectives like this are extremely hard to achieve, and a huge amount of us photographers have struggled with fascination with the effects of tilt-shift imagery; a technique mainly known for the miniature effect.

However, despite its coolness, miniature effect is only a by-product of the complex optical manoeuvre of tilt-shifting stuff of your camera. In short, the ability of a lens gets expanded by enabling it to both tilt and shift besides focusing and zooming; resulting in straight vertical and horizontal lines, hence the popularity of the effect and also the expensive lenses in architectural imagery.
