Allows Edits? YesAs anticipated by Diane, leading lines are tricky to master; they offer structure in plain sight or they can remain hidden and implied. They can be straight or messy, and they coexist with other elements within a photograph. Horizontal, diagonal, vertical, organic, you name it.
For this week’s selection, @retiredgrunt’s clean shot from the seascape makes these sort of lines the centre of the story. These two diagonal lines, parallelly running towards the edge of the sky while signalling the fading horizon, are sufficient storytellers by themselves. Yet, what makes the scene more interesting and appealing to the eye, is the tiny presence of the buoy on the right side of the frame; marking the end of the visual path.

Cheers mate, and thanks for sharing with us!

Thanks everyone!! I was out that day testing a new recipe I plugged into the Fuji X-T3. I remember pivoting to the right and saw the buoy just enter the scene from the right… click.
Thank you @federicoalegria, you are more poetic than I, in story telling.

Allows Edits? YesOh, that is an absolute cracker – I love those Waterscapes that make it look like you’re looking into infinity. And those leading lines just work perfectly. Nice work indeed.
