  It takes a curious mind to notice such a beauty within the overwhelming setting from the woods. Light aids this tiny ecosystem by building contrast and therefore adding volume to every element in the frame. Also the colour treatment makes a lot of sense given the finding and lighting, not to mention the precise focus macro photography is known for! Thanks @robertapple for sharing this miniature world with us and congrats on the POTW.

  Thanks Folks, I love these macro shots , I spend a bit of time laying on the forest floor getting them, often getting muddy and wet or poked by rocks, and getting back up with a 60 plus year old body with severe arthritis is some times a chore, but I’m not complaining, just feeling humbled by this choice and happy folks enjoy seeing these tiny worlds.
