Playing around with Nik

Inspired by Patricks Daido Moriyama series I tried to wake up my old Nik plugins bought before DxO stepped in. Couldnt get them working so I bought the Nik 7 collection – and it seems to be an answer to some of my prayers for messing up images for antiquated looks. One from yesterday:

This is gorgeous a real tree lined street made all the more authentic with your edit 🙂 , makes me think of old pictures from the victorian era which happens to my fav period of all history , glad you got something to play with as well with the new nik , lovely first image 🙂

Agreed all the better with this new version you have i just have the old free collection , silverfx , analog fx and the very odd time i might use the colour fx pro 4 mainly for quick one off edits that i don’t want to spend ages with.

Thanks guys. I forgot, the old Nik was free, simple to use, high quality and a lot of fun. The DxO Nik is not exactly cheap but promising.

couldn’t help but feeling nostalgic, Nik was a nice piece of software until greedy envious capitals ripped it apart…

I can agree with you on the negative side of greedy capitalists acquiring  freeware in order to make money. If DxO ripped it apart then they have managed to put it back together quite nicely.
