Allows Edits? YesI’m interested in feedback, especially the background behind the main subject.
The brightly colored leaves are backlit and I needed separation from the trees in the background. In LR, I chose the branches and leaves as an “object”, inverted the selection and darkened the background. Then re-selected the “object” and brightened it.

Allows Edits? YesThe Background is fine with me , I would add a bit more to the red with a point color adjustment in the color mixer and bump the reds luminance up a bit as well as the saturation for a stronger separation, and in this quick example I did crop just enough off the top to remove the sky which was a bit of an eye snag. Its a subtle change which stands out more full size.

Allows Edits? YesThanks for these recommendations. I have had a hard time with the image. The backlighting combined with the harshness of the mid-day light makes getting it all balanced tough for me.

Allows Edits? YesI think having those almost complementary colours really makes this image. I think Robert’s changes worked well too. Well done..

Allows Edits? YesWhat I really like about this image is the feeling of a rich, dappled red color from the sun. So to emphasize that, I cropped in from the left because that cuts out oranges and seems to help focus on the darker reds. Like Robert, I also cropped a bit off the top, and then used the photoshop dodge tool to lighten the reds in certain places.
