thank you. I sort of suspect most would look at it and think “it’s just a bunch of rocks, what’s the whoop?” It does, for me, suggest a sense of calm and solidity. Not sure about the exposure on the rocks and have gone back to modify those tones a bit.

Steve, see what you think of cropping in from the left to emphasize the unusual shapes. I love the varied shapes of the rocks you captured.    The one on the left looks like it’s standing on poles, because of the tree trunk reflections.  I dodged a bit on the cool odd shape in forefront, right.

*******  Rob, @admin-2       When I first joined LS about a decade ago, lots of folks edited others’ images – as long as they had selected “yes, allow edits.”  Question:   has this changed as a preference among folks?   I don’t want to keep “brainstorming” in this manner if the norms have changed.   Thanks for thoughts!

Thanks for this feedback. I have tried about a dozen or so crops of the basic image and aren’t really satisfied with any of them. I had retained those stones on the right as a sort of leading line. Of course, they aren’t leading anywhere so…..I had also given the big on top left a little more room to breathe than your version. I do think your square crop works well, adding to the solid and static nature of the subject.

The “rules” are what you said–edits allowed if the user has indicated that it is allowed on their images. There’s actually not much traffic on Shark Tank which seems the best place to offer revisions. Rob will chime in with the official answer to your question.

@annehornsby  still the same rules. Nothing has changed with that.

I think we still need to give people the option of allowing it to disallowing it with their own photos so unless you guys have different ideas, I’ll leave it like that.

I have a hard deciding what’s interesting or not.  Because I tend to think everything is…  🙁

This crow was zeroed in on me wondering if I would charge him or offer him food.  He looks like a statue.   Thoughts?

I understand. I find many things interesting but sometimes left to puzzle over why. I have been called out for overthinking sometimes, though I don’t think there’s any such thing.
