Do silos count as architecture? You’ve really captured the feel of winter. That first shot is yummy, Christmas card stuff.

Allows Edits? YesWell it’s a concrete plant, so cement silo, maybe, its a building anyway that I’m sure a architect designed, so yeah.
Thanks for your comments Allen.

Have you noticed that everyone commenting is in warmer climes? These are both nice shots Robert. I particularly like the first.

Allows Edits? YesYeah I did notice that Rob, I mean this is a throw down, Surely I’m not the only one in the group getting snowed on right now, Am I?
In know @kent is probably getting his huevos frozen off about now in Minnesota I heard 35 below from my cousin in Coon Rapids, but maybe no snow. @bgordon806 any snow in Colorado ? @leannecleaveley how bout in your neck of the woods up north.
Anyhow thanks for the kind words Rob. -

No snow here in TN. Cold tonight around 16. We’ve had about 2 inches max here so far. Can’t say I miss the white stuff too much after living many yrs in upstate NY…

Allows Edits? YesWell your excused then Tom, LOL. But a cold winter with no snow is just wrong, its like a hot fudge sundae with no hot fudge. Everything brown and dormant, a good deep snow cover that is fresh and smooth is like God wiping the slate clean to freshly redraw summer on the land.

We have had a mostly snow-less winter up until about two weeks ago. Then we got the heaviest, wettest snow I have ever seen in our area. The next day it got very cold and froze. Now we have ice. Lots of ice. It has been a strange winter here, Robert!
Here is one from last winter. Did you know it can snow without a cloud in the sky? It is called “diamond dust” and forms when the humidity and temperature are ‘just right.’ I spotted these on the hood of our vehicle and shot them handheld (such craziness, must have had my coffee that day) 🙂

Allows Edits? YesLove these shots Leanne, I have yet to try this and we have gotten snow virtually once a week since the first week of October. Its interesting the current weather patterns, I have been hearing stories about a polar shift of the magnetic forces of the planet that seem to have some past occurrences through out history that really do make sense out of a lot of the fossil records.

Wow! You got our snow, I guess! What you said about the polar shift is interesting and worthy of some research (I shall consult google!). My kiddos are jealous of your snow, Robert. We have only had a couple of sledding days. I took the cross country skis out on some very crunchy thin snow today.

I saw your mention of me…
We have a trace of snow left in Denver, and it was 60F (15.6C) today.
This morning I drove up the hill and took this shot near Como, CO at about 9500′. It was 30F and sunny. On the other side of that mountain is Breckenridge, CO. Drove on to there and it was about the same, but with about 3′ of snow.
does this shot look crooked?

Allows Edits? YesI know exactly where this is Gordon, think I may have some shots of this very building. My wife and I used to camp up there and my Sister would come up from the Springs and join us, every trip though had to feature home made Fudge from the shop in Jefferson and Dorthy’s Tamales in Fairplay. Its strange not to see more snow then this this time of year. my last trip up there was on Mothers day weekend at the end of May 2017 and we got snowed in just over the pass and spent the weekend in Poncha Springs.
