Allows Edits? YesNice shot Jim. I cleaned it up a bit and brightened with curves. Removed a knee, an arm and half a face, plus debris on the ground. See if you like it better. Best of luck !

Thanks Elin, I was conscious of those parts on the edge and you have prompted me to have a go at removing, which was much easier than I had feared. Got rid of the sign, etc and additionally the wording “Tower”. The curves, even with very small movements seemed to me to produce quite a big change (far more than what I usually see), so the movement is quite subtle – it appears that you did the same.
I do have a concern that the overall scene is very busy, but not much can be done about that, although right from the start I have slightly blurred the background, including the onlookers.
Thanks also for your kind remark, Patrick.

Allows Edits? YesHi Jim, I like the image after the cleaned up edit. Yes the background seems a bit busy. You have mentioned that you slightly blurred the background – maybe try to blur a bit more to see if it looks natural. The red really stands out. Beautiful 🙂

Nice shot! I seem to recall that someone did some research about red in contests and it won more that half the time. I would darken, desat a touch and blur the background but not touch the spectators with their genuine smiles. In fact lifting the shadows on their faces a tad might work. It’s nice to see a photo with people!
