I haven’t yet thought of a title for this one, nevertheless was pondering if somehow I could improve it? In fact, although have looked at it quite a few times, I have just noticed the vacuum equipment sitting there – still, I can easily get rid of that.
Any suggestions for improvement plus, of course, ideas for a title?

Good eye spotting this one Jim , I think that central area is incredible i love the patterns cast by the light looks real good mate.
On st
The lighting is good, but a little adjustment to the overall exposure and contrast could make the whites pop even more and deepen the shadows, enhancing the graphic quality.
Cropping a slightly tighter crop might enhance the dramatic vertical lines and the light coming from the skylight , The vertical elements on the left side of the image, like the wall and railing, seem to lean slightly inwards towards the center top maybe try to correct the perspective if poss.
Names ? all i can think that comes to mind is – Perspective Shift 🙂
I really am loving that central portion the most , Good work mate thanks for showing.

I think I’d level it and adjust the perspective so the the doors are vertical Jim. A fun one to flip 180 degrees too. Sorry…no title

Allows Edits? YesI’m not sure I would remove the vacuum at all. In fact, I would consider making it the standout sense of interest because it is an element of the photo that breaks a pattern and that is really hard to do. I probably start by going to town on the dodging and burning.

Thanks, Patrick @patrickw-2, using exposure and contrast certainly helps and was straightforward. You are definitely right about the perspective, indeed it really stands out that the top right and left ceilings are not in good alignment at their edges. So far, in my tries I have tried both the mesh warp and perspective tools with some measure of success – even with a crop, but not there yet. I will watch a couple of training videos on the topic to enhance what I know already, then try again. Good title.
Many thanks for your enthusiasm and appreciation!
Thanks Rob @reyers, leveling the doors is a good idea, but having tried briefly, I need to get everything into perspective if I can. After your other suggestion, I tried flipping in and it will take time to get used to the light flow going the opposite way. Will try again after the aligning.
Thanks Rob @admin-2 slightly highlighting the vacuum cleaner is a novel idea! Though am worried it might end up as a distraction to the main event, however, I since it will be easy to do I will try after the efforts detailed above.

Allows Edits? YesI do tend to go a little bit wild in my dodging and burning. LOL.

Allows Edits? YesHi Jim, this is a really strong image with an abstract feel. As soon as I saw the image, the first thing that came to my mind is a bit more exposure and contrast as Patrick has mentioned and adjusting the verticals as Rob has mentioned. Looks like this will also be a great frame for black and white conversion 🙂

Allows Edits? YesDizzying, and it took me a few seconds to get myself oriented.
So much of these sorts of images depends on getting key elements dead center. It looks to me as though the converging lines end up with that wall and the lines in the ceiling itself, just a couple of degrees off. If that’s so, a small crop from the left might move things over. It’s possible that the perspective correction will make the crop for you.
You most likely had your zoom lens at its widest setting. That nearly always creates this sort of distortion. Going narrower can prevent that and, in this case, probably wouldn’t have negatively affected the stunning nature of the image itself.

Allows Edits? Yes@mistyisle Hi, Jim. I just tried my hand with photoshop, which I haven’t used for several years. So my edits are a rough look at a perspective adjustment (so the left side is more equal to the right) and what brightening does. The shadows on the column and ceiling aren’t right, but you get the idea. When I moved the shadow slider to +45, the rug really popped, which became a favorite feature for me – the way the rug interacts with the really cool circle-in-square lighting fixtures.
I did dodge the item on the second floor, as Rob mentioned. It looks like a cart piled with stuff – probably to refresh rooms. It requires skills beyond mine to remove it!
I love this image. Have fun!
