    @koala – I really like The Observers.

    I live right in the middle of England so a long way from the sea, but with the amount of rain we’ve had this year (the wettest since records began a century ago) there’s a lot of flood water around – will that count?? 😉

    These were taken in a small village about 60 miles east from me near where I grew up – but still another 60-odd miles from the sea, although you wouldn’t think so!

    The footpath to my home town (St Ives) across the fields:
    I decided not to try it...

    Holywell Front – taken as the water was rising. The last I heard, it was about half way up the bank but is probably falling now:
    Holywell Front

    Last of the light:
    The last of the light

    I’ve got some more from the following day in St Ives, but haven’t edited them yet (4 music gigs in a week has taken its’ toll!)

    @koala, The Observer is amazing! I love the sharpness of the person in contrast to the front waves. SInce we have the same camera, could you possibly share what lens you used, and some of your settings?

    @karamen – wow, thanks!!!
    I use the standard kit lens (18-135), the setting are:
    f/22.6
    1/3 sec
    ISO 100

    I ran the single image through Photomatix and then sharpened it a little in GIMP… that’s about it, actually,,, 🙂

    The first picture was actually taken with my Sony Arc camera phone. The only editing I did was to straighten and correct perspective in Lightroom.

    The others were taken with my 7D.

    @karamen – nice to hear, thanks! 🙂

    mmm… I’m not sure, as it is one HDR shot “built” of 7 differently exposed shots (through Photomatix) and I’m not sure wherever the software taking the motion from exactly.
    I started from 1/50, after that 1/25, 1/13 (my guess this is the one), 1/6, 1/3, 1/2 and 1 sec.

    @karamen, HDR shooting is fun, as long you don’t overdo it. You could try the automatic bracketing in your camera first, and then increase the number of shots manually. There are number of great solution of joining the shots and tone mapping, my favorite is Photomatix.
