I meant to add a description to this image. Sunrise on the Billings, MT “rims” after a recent shower. The rims are the sandstone cliffs that Billings is nestled against.

Hi Robert, it’s Rose-bay Willow Herb, also known as Fireweed. It grows on burnt ground and waste ground, roadsides, railways and riverbanks. Its both beautiful and at times a pest.

The clouds have an odd tint to them that reminds me the colors on the front range of Colorado, That came from air pollution.

For a couple of years I joined a group of photographers in late January/February and for a few days we travelled the north shore Lake Superior (pretty much from the US/Cda border down to Duluth, Minnesota.  As you can see… even though it is cold, it is well worth it and there is some amazing landscapes.

Good to see you hanging around Paul, that is an awesome area, I lived up and down the coast for a time as a kid. I still remember scenes like this. Your photos due it justice.
