Allows Edits? YesHere’s my idea: I’ll post both the image’s starting point and its most recent finish. Not promising commentary on the processing but may or some other notes about the potential I saw when I decided to frame and focus.

Allows Edits? YesJust like Rob has mentioned, this is a great example of how a little bit of post processing can bring out the best in a photo Steve 🙂

Allows Edits? YesVery cool idea.
As for that photo, I think it’s a perfect example of white post production is a very very positive thing for most people. There is no way you could’ve got that layering while keeping both the sky in the foreground in proper exposure. Very nice work indeed..

Allows Edits? YesEven my ND grad filter (not on this picture) didn’t even out the exposure enough.

Allows Edits? YesOne of the attractions of my photographic journey involves the ability to find multiple ways to see the same scene. Here’s the starting point and 2 versions of it: likin’ lichen

None turned out as sharp as I would have liked. This version (145mm rather than going all in to the 500mm available) got the focal point a least wrong.

Allows Edits? YesMy grandson (#251) will run himself into the ground before giving up. This is about 200 meters before the finish line of his 5000 meter cross country race. You can probably guess which one finished 2nd and which one came 3rd.
200 meters into the race

This is one of many pictures I’ll not show him or his parents.

Allows Edits? YesThat last one is excellent. Really shows the emotion and exhaustion on his face but with a shred of determination.

Allows Edits? YesThe first is the SOOC version and the 2nd is the processed. This is part of my “daily” series showing before and after so the 2nd had better be better!

Allows Edits? YesIt’s a gorgeous sunset. But is it just me or is that straight horizon wildly off?

Allows Edits? YesProbably is wildly off in this case, though often the mountains descend and unlevel is actually the way they are. When I address that, I usually use the bottom of a cloud line to level the image. In this case, I just let it go.

Allows Edits? YesYeah, it’s one of the banes of landscape photography when you actually have a level camera, but the horizon looks off due to the geography and sky.
