  Aside from the best known use of “map,” – geographic area, maps also can be symbolic visual representations of a space or theme. Maps can track our experiences, memories, and movements.
  
  My abstract image of the top of my hand makes me think of the passage of time. Another approach would be a time-slice photograph. Or a macro shot of fading inks in a memento. Or a blended image of a childhood photo with an adult version of self. Many possibilities here to represent our lives.

      Hi Anne, this my one of my cats when he was a kitten and now as an adult. Somehow I had a photo of them from then and now generally sitting in the same position. I overlayed the kitten picture onto the now picture.
