@annehornsby   I recall an article a number of years ago on Light Stalking regarding red. The author made the observation that many winning photographs have a splash of red in them. Interesting thought that has stayed with me.

I believe that was Kent D. Pat, it’s a phycological trigger, red means danger and invokes a reaction to pay attention. advertisers love to use it as well as photographers.

This was an acrylic pour waste Anne , first time trying anything like that , i just got a snap before it got bagged up for recycling.

I never looked to check but i must have used a nikon , those star specular highlights could only be from a fairly high F stop , i only noticed them afterwards.
