Thanks so much Rob , there is beauty in them woods when the light gets a chance to poke into those little pockets , i always think about the moments that must happen when we are not there to witness , it’s like being a fly on the wall lol … nuts maybe but it keeps me going 🙂

Trees are one of the few things in the landscape that interest me , they are getting harder to find at least the good ones are , lots of over growth in places and trying to find a good separation between the subject and its surroundings is not easy to find , they you add the turbines , fences , electricity pylons 🙂

The banyan tree is a type of fig tree abundant along the canals of Bangkok. It’s a “killer” tree because when it grows on host trees, the mesh of roots often strangles and kills the host. Still, I can’t help finding the texture and intricacy of the roots very beautiful LOL

In Yellowstone, trees stuck in the middle of the thermal areas are called “bobby sox trees”. They typically have white at the base from soaking up the hydrothermal water.-

Allows Edits? YesThat’s cool ( @stef )Â Stefanie, Very well done, I think I’ve photographed those same trees. Yellowstone is a notoriously difficult place to photograph, harsh light form the altitude, restricted angles to shoot from due to controlled travel on pathways , and the crowded conditions, it broke a monthly record this May with a half a million visitors and has come close to over a million in one month in July. That equals lots of sitting in your car driving from feature to feature, just to find there is no where to park, and if you do get lucky and find a place the pathways resemble waiting lines at Disneyland. I don’t go there anymore.

Sorry Larry not this one , but i do see what you mean they are fairly close in size and shape , this one was in a place here in belfast called , The Giant’s Ring , it is approximately 4,700 years old, having been built around 2700 BC during the Neolithic period.

Allows Edits? YesI understand Larry, I deal with Severe chronic pain in nearly every joint in my body, lots of late nights on the tablet laying on multiple Ice paks, only 9 more planned surgeries to go, I think, I’ve lost track.
