  Adjacent to apartments, condos, a motel and less than 1/4 mile from Home Depot, Lowes and 1/2 mile from a very large shopping area. Still, geese, ducks, Egrets, Herons, Cormorants are nearly always there.

  You didn’t mention turtles Steve, they would make an interesting subject as well.Though with all those birds bet one woild be tip toeing through the bird poop.

    There are Canada Geese. They are the worst for bird poop. Turtles? Oh yeah.
    
    One of the residents said she saw a huge turtle a few days previous, almost as large as the Galapagos at our local zoo!

  Jees – that is some of the most definitive framing I have seen in a photograph for a very long time. Pointing straight to the centre. Very effective.

    Thanks. It definitely did the framing and leading line things. I just wish it was pointing towards something other than a street with cars parked for walkers/visitors. Still, it’s a nice place for a walk.

      I think that’s the crooks of the difficulty with landscape photography. Finding all of the compositional elements to line up is a lot more difficult than most people think.
