Click, this image is intriguing. I see a lot of connection between it and some types of jazz – improvisation without anarchy, dynamic changes of focus, strong teamwork while leaving room for the individual, etc. Thanks!

Strangely appealing Click. Is this a made piece or is it art that created itself through weathering? Like a fine wine, it got better with age.

Graham, this is a billboard in the Paris Metro that was undergoing a cleanup. Multiple layers of previous billboard sheets were being peeled away revealing bits and pieces of a mix of old images. I thought the effect was “a-peeling”.

Thanks Tom. The wife made the pavlova a few years ago and I took a pic of it because of the bright colours. I was using Photopad at the time (before I had purchased PS) which I used to give it that neon effect.
Recently, I was scrolling through some previously unexplored presets I had downloaded for PS and found one which turns any pic into a tryptich, then another one which made the reflection effect and voila…..abstract art!

Thanks Diane. I used my Sigma DG 105mm Macro EX (1:2.8).

I’d travelled to a forest (Kuitpo Forest) in the hopes of getting something worthwhile. I’d been looking deep into the forest and high above the forest but was feeling a bit disappointed after finding nothing really different or interesting. After walking into a dense part of the forest, I had to look down to watch my step and that’s when I saw this tiny little fungi growing in the leaf litter on a forest floor. Probably trampled heaps of the poor things before then. A good lesson in ‘working the scene’ I guessΒ  πŸ™‚

Hi Dave , thank you very much.

I used a photo with some steps ( A dry dock at shipyard ) i then used a piece of software named Krita and with in said software i used a tool by the name deformation to get what i wanted , then framed it up with the original image blurred as the backdrop and drop shadow to lift it off the BG.

Somewhat reminiscent of a few of your guitar shots way back when Diane. Really really nice!

Wow, very observant Rob, and a good memory! It is a guitar with lights playing over it and the background.

So that’s what it is…a guitar! All makes sense now. Terrific abstract Diane. I must have scrolled back up to it up ten times while writing this. One of those images which just keeps pulling you back in case you missed something.

Stunning! Photo is nicely composed and love the soft almost whimsical background with the strong curve running through the foreground Had me guessing to what it was.
