Anything with a word or words somewhere in the image. Maybe an amusing sign, a street name, place name, warning sign….
Or a Title that ‘makes’ the shot!

Thank you Diane, yes there is one fitting in age, unmanageably big and heavy – so it is used as a decoration for the walls of the fishing lodge.

Guess we’ll have to go to Cannon Beach and check it out.  🙂  My first Pelican beer was the Kiwanda Pre-Prohibition Cream Ale. Fantastic! Ordered it with lunch at a little café in Joseph.  About as far away from the coast as you can get and still be in Oregon. 🙂

This sign hangs on the front of the building above the main entrance. It’s huge. Something like 6-8 feet across.

My political statement for the day, actually, Nelson Mandela’s.  With Table Mountain as a backdrop, Mr. Mandela spent 18 of his 27 year imprisoned here on Robben Island. His words are just as meaningful in today’s world as they were back in 1990 when he was eventually released.

      Cheers

Leanne, the image of your RLS quote is beautifully unique and effective.  Using the wire-rimmed reading glasses “nails” it for me.  It’s almost like reading his words through his eyes.  Your composition opens new new ideas for me.  Thank you for this.
