          Thanks Preston. It is a very narrow DOF. The focus point is millimeters. I love the effect it has on lines like the strings.

        This resonates with me (sorry for the pun). I have just spent a good few hours trying to get a shot like yours Leanne. No where near as good as yours. What a great Image. Looks like it will take me longer to shoot the guitars than play the dam things!

          Hi Tersha , many thanks tbh i am a bit confused at the moment on what i need or should concentrate on , Some days i want to be up the hills in the woods or by a river, other days on the streets or chasing bugs close up ( bit cold yet for bugs ).

        I’m not about to count them, but I do really like this, Patrick. Looks like an engineering nightmare. Can you imagine this made into a 1000 piece puzzle??? If you get caged in, this as a puzzle could drive you over the edge.

        Having just a compact camera (no lens changes possible) I don’t know what most of you are talking about when you talk about your new ‘toys” but I certainly enjoy (and learn from) the results you show me. Keep enjoying and playing with them!

          Thanks Bobbie, a ‘lens ball’ is a small glass/crystal ball that you can put in front of things to create effects, it’s not attached to the camera. 🙂

      Light Trails

      This was my first time photographing moving traffic in the early evening using 10 to 20 seconds exposure. I was a cold and windy evening. I used an ankle weight to hold the camera steady.

        Thanks for the comments everyone!  It was an old railroad bridge that was blown down by a tornado in 2009. Rather than demolish it, the standing portion was converted to a sky-walk (pictured above) and the rest of the area a state park.
